About the Library Advisory Committee

The purpose of the Library Advisory Committee is to advise the Board of County Commissioners on the development and implementation of sound programs for the Hernando County Public Library System and to assist in providing a feasible, adequate public library system.

The Committee conducts regular committee business, provides input, makes recommendations and discusses various ideas. Committee members are invited to attend various workshops sponsored by Hernando County.

Meetings are generally held on the second Tuesday of each month.  Locations vary.  Please refer to the Meeting Schedule posted on this website.   The public is encouraged to attend and observe Library Advisory Committee meetings.   Call (352)754-4045 to confirm dates and times.
