Free library cards are available to all residents of Hernando County. To obtain a card, patrons may visit any location of the Hernando County Public Library, complete an application form, provide current photo identification or a driver’s license, and provide proof of a current local address.

 How To Place Navigator Requests

If you cannot find a specific item in our Library Catalog you can request it directly through Florida Navigator. Through a formal professional agreement with other libraries in Florida, the Hernando County Public Library can borrow materials not available in our collecton. Requests for Interlibrary loans may also be made via telephone or in person at any Library branch. Before requesting items through Florida Navigator, please read through the following InterLibrary Loan (ILL) Guidelines.

Meeting Rooms are available for public use at the Main Library/Brooksville, the West Hernando Branch, the Spring Hill Branch, and the East Hernando Branch.  They may be reserved by nonprofit community interest groups for use during regular library hours.  For more specific information on our Meeting Room Policy or to print out and complete an application, click on the links below.
